Do not take the chance
Do not make that call
Boredom is in your head
Do not let it lead you there
You do not need him
You’re better off
You do not need that life
You’re better off
You do not need that excitement
You’re better off
You do not need that high
You’re better off
Do not make that call
He’s not worth it
You do not need him
He’ll make you fall
find someone else
go somewhere else
and have a ball

Dear writer—I think this piece is especially successful for the line “You’re better off” which keeps repeating like a prayer or a chant. There is a lot of strength here! Thanks for sharing this poem.
