Family traditions… they seem to sorta form on their own, without any effort. You don’t necessarily plan on anything in particular, it just comes together naturally. So many of my children’s birthday parties we celebrated at the pool – having a pool party – party at the Holiday Inn. We would invite all their friends and swim, celebrate, eat pizza, drink soda, open presents, have cake and ice cream. But most importantly make beautiful memories together. They always dreaded it when mom broke out the camera. Boy did I ever get obsessive with the photos. We all appreciate it now so much though.
Other naturally occurring family traditions include: making mashed potatoes together – ahhh, comfort food, so delicious. We also enjoyed park hopping and hitting up the markets for free cookies and long drives together. I sure do miss doing stuff with you guys. I love you so much.
