They were shinny hearts
Some filled with life
Needed plant food and a transplant
Looked as if its done more time that me
Looks as if it was brought here
To make this dark place look pretty
But the plant looks more depressed than I am
The spider plants are crawling
Growth towards the windows
Onto the bars as if trying to escape
How long did it take for the plant to grow that far
I’m sure it was a waste of time
Cause by this winter the vines
Will not like the bars they spend
The summer growing too.
